ASUS presents its new 27-inch gaming monitor, the ROG Strix XG27WQ. 2020 seems to be the year of WQHD and VA panels.
Manufacturers appear to have championed VA panels as a versatile option as IPS prices remain high. ASUS wanted to follow the trend: 27 inches, VA panel, 165 Hz, and 1440p resolution. Indeed, VA panels have always had a bad response time, but the problem seems to have been solved. We reveal the latest gaming monitor in the market; ASUS ROG Strix XG27WQ.

In the last two weeks, the main monitor brands have started presenting their novelties for 2020. In this case, it’s up to ASUS to present a monitor that has been designed for pro gamers.
The ASUS Strix Rog XG27WQ has a VA curved panel ( 1500R ) that stretches to 27-inches with a WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution. It offers a 165 Hz refresh rate, 1 ms response time, and is AMD FreeSync Premium Pro certified. Not only does this panel supports HDR-10, but it also has a 3000: 1 contrast and 125% sRGB and 92% DCI-P3 color saturation.
Although is is based on a VA panel, the monitor brings ELMB technology, which reduces the motion blur (motion blur) to the maximum. Don’t worry about the viewing angles because it offers 178º / 178º. As for its base, it is the tripod we’ve seen before, which means it is adjustable.
Note the RGB lighting behind the monitor and its connections, which are as follows:
1 x DisplayPort 1.2 .
2 x HDMI 2.0.
1 x 3.5mm jack.
2 x USB 3.0 .
To finish, we will have ASUS GamePlus to improve our gaming experience with different peepholes, FPS counters, and screen alignment. On the other hand, ASUS GameVisual is present to configure the panel to your liking.
