After learning about the technical specifications of Xbox Series X, much of the developer community has been surprised by the power of its hardware. The new generation of consoles, which will arrive with Series X and PS5, will take the way of developing video games to the limits and will offer us totally new and unique experiences.
One of the last to comment on Microsoft’s new proposal is Terry Malham, senior CEO of Wild Sphere. This study is in charge of developing Gigantosaurus The Game, a dinosaur-based children’s video game that was launched on the market on March 27.
In an interview with the news portal GamingBolt, Malham had an opinion on the 16 GB of GDDR6 RAM that Xbox Series X presents and how this will drive various aspects of new generation video games, from performance to transitions between scenes.
This is a faster memory than previous generation hardware.
“This is faster memory than previous generation hardware,” Malham began. “It will help the overall performance of the game. Equally important here is the amount of RAM, 16GB. Many games could fit entirely in memory, allowing for instantaneous transitions.”
This would happen thanks to the 13 GB that Xbox Series X will have exclusively dedicated to the execution of games, which will allow greater fluidity and performance in all possible aspects.
Is the new generation of consoles being promoted correctly? Our colleague Mario Gómez told us about it in an opinion article about Xbox Series X and PS5. Since both consoles exposed their characteristics, the debate on hardware has been one of the most commented topics among the gaming community.
Another issue that continues to worry future buyers is the price of these powerful devices. In 3DJuegos we have invited you to put a price on PS5 and Xbox Series X, take a look at the predictions of the community, will we get it right?
