It seems that there is no more mystery: the i9-10980HK will have a turbo frequency of 5.3 GHz. This is what we have seen in this latest leak.
It has been many weeks of looking at benchmarks on Intel processors and speculating on frequencies or performance. There is no speculation here because a slide from the 10th Gen Intel Core laptop processors presentation has been leaked. Specifically, we know the Intel Core i9-10980HK, which confirms the 5.3 GHz turbo frequency .
We are looking a chip that will use the 14 nm architecture, will have 8 cores, 16 threads, and that will overclockable. This turbo frequency is not about the Max Boost 2.0, but about the Thermal Velocity Boost. The processor will reach 5.3 GHz, if the it is efficiently cooled or and gets enough power.
This system is not new as it was introduced with the Core i9-8950HK, which was the first i9 chip in laptops. For those who want to know the release date of this majestic i9-10980HK, it will be released on April 2, this Thursday.

On the other hand, NVIDIA will also announce the next RTX Super for laptops the same day. Friends, a “moving” week is coming.
What do you think of this frequency? Do you think that on the desktop, they will offer a higher frequency? Do you think it is just marketing?
